About September 1 I was told by the Washington county roads supervisor that they were going to be done with their summer work and that he was still planning to come work on our range. keep your fingers crossed!!!!

Also,  Multi Gun Nationals is looking for staff to work the match. if you are a certified RO please consider working the match.

Load the trailer/truck:  7:30 at the SUPR range. 
Set up:  8:15 at the Sheriff’s Range. 
Start shooting as soon as we’re ready (for sure by 9:30). 

This match should be fast and fun.  It has a couple of new items from our inventory.  The target elves have been busy during our forced break from our home range.  Stage 2, "Men in Black" has 4 steel hard cover targets instead of the regular paint.  So, if you hit hard cover (and can hear – I can’t), you should hear a clank to let you know.  Stage 4 has a 4 target plate rack.  We now have 2 of these 4 plate racks.  Their regular home will be on the steel range (when we get it back) unless we’re using 1 or both in a match.

Equipment needed… .22 pistol, no holster, 100 rounds of .22 ammo (or so).  Having 4 magazines is helpful, but not required.  Optional… a .22 repeating rifle, time permitting they will shoot rifle stages.

Related travel news… Brian and I will shoot in Vegas on Sunday as a final tune-up for Area 1.   We have room for 4 others heading there as well.

Drive like you are heading to our range. But turn left at the DMV. Drive past Wheelers. Drive past Purgatory Jail. Turn left into parking lot of Sheriffs offices.  Go past “Authorized Personnel only” – for today, you are authorized (-:.  Turn left at dirt road between parked vans and covered car wash. You’ve arrived.

Iron County Action Shooters shoots .22 on the 1st and 3rd Thursday nights at 6pm.

Iron Springs Practical Shooters runs USPSA matches on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays.

Drex will be holding a USPSA match this Saturday in fact.  Brian and I have to go to LA for a funeral, so we won’t be attending, but here are directions and information so you can go get some shooting done!

Directions to the match:

The range is located 13 1/2 miles north of Cedar City off hwy 130 (Minersville Hwy).  If coming from St. George, take the Love’s exit off the 15th in Enoch (just past Cedar). Turn left off the I-15, and follow Hwy 130 about 1/2 mile past mile marker 13, turn right, there will be a small modular office trailer and scale to mark the road you turn on.

The USPSA match is the pit on the right. The .22 match uses the one on the left of the road.

Iron County Acton Shooters will be holding a .22 steel shoot on 17 June 2010 at 6:00PM at our range just north of Cedar City.

The range is located North on Hwy 130 (Minersville Hwy) 1/2 mile past mile marker 13 on the left, follow the signs to the gravel pit/ range. Shooters meeting to start at 6:00PM. Bring Eye and Ear protection.

The shoot is planned for pistols and revolvers and if time permits we will also run some of the stages for .22 rifles. If we have more than 8 shooters we will be shooting in squads (we have two bays available with three stages in each bay).

Just a reminder of Iron County Action Shooters, .22 cal steel shoot tonight at 6PM.

There will be signs for the shoot, which is in a quarry on the left.

The pistol stages will be Steel Challenge, the rifle stages – same from farther out plus some higher target counts at 50 to 75 yards.

Bring at least 100 rounds of .22 LR ammo, your .22 pistol or rifle, eye and ear protection.

Adam Mann is parting with his backup STI Edge .40 from Dawson Precision. He also has 4 Dawson tuned 20 round magazines available.
