Dad and I are getting into 3-gun more, so we’re looking at getting a shotgun that kicks a bit less. My dad’s had 20+ concussions, so our recoil-operated Benelli will literally knock him silly on a long shotgun stage or if slugs are required by the stage. I thought I ought to give club members a shot at it before it goes up on Gunbroker. Asking $750.00 or a trade towards an SLP or nice 1100.

The gun is an M1 super 90 that’s been kitted out with a 9-round extension tube and an 8-round sidesaddle. It’s tough as nails, but it just kicks a bit too much for my old, frail father.

If anyone’s interested, shoot either me or Dad a note. I’ll try to remember to bring it to the next match.

I thought of it when I read this ad for Mossberg’s new .22 “tactical” rifle:

Only $230 bucks for a .22 AR-15 clone with Picatinny rails and a collapsible stock? Nifty!. It seems almost unreal.

I doubt most people at the mall would know what it meant, but you would, and that is all that matters!

As a side note… I used their .40 match ammo in a class with Rob Leatham yesterday and it shot perfectly!  It made major but had less kick than traditional factory ammo and was reliable and accurate.

Brian and I faired well at the Prize Table at the Utah USPSA Championship.

The gun was gone, but we were still early when we went up to the table and were glad to see the gift certificate from Center of Mass Tactical there on the table. We snatched it up.

They make excellent holsters and other accessories, and I needed a new holster for a Commander sized S&W 1911PD I intend to shoot in IDPA.

I e-mailed COM asking questions, and Rick Palmer, the owner, answered them the same evening. Awesome!

So I called and placed an order for one of Rick’s custom Kydex belt holsters and also a custom 1911 dual mag pouch.

COM will be at the Gun show in Vegas next Saturday (Santa Fe Casino) and Rick also said he is going to try and get out to Desert Sportsman and shoot the USPSA match Sunday morning.
