Dear Fellow Shooter,
Thank you for your attendance and help with the Multi-Gun Match of
January 17th. I hope you all had fun and look forward to seeing you
at the next Pistol Match to be held on February 7th, 2009. If you
would like to help with setup it starts at 8:00 A.M. and we could use
all the help we can get. The Match will starts as soon as all stages
are completed. Please arrive early enough to get your gear on and
sign up.
A special thanks to those who came early and or stayed late helping
to setup and or tear down the stages. Also, a special thanks to those
who designed stages or worked behind the scene with range equipment.
John was 1st overall, Jim Meade was 2nd overall, Adam Mann was 3rd
overall, Ken Nelson was 1st Rifle, John Allen was 1st Pistol, Jim
Meade was 1st Shotgun and John Allen was 1st 3 Gun.
Remember: "shoot straight, shoot fast and above all shoot safe".

The “Southern Utah Pistol & Revolver” club is a “U.S. Practical Shooting Association” affiliated Practical Shooting club. Practical Shooting matches are primarily pistol matches however rifles and shotguns are sometimes used at special matches.
The Southern Utah Pistol & Revolver club holds matches on the 1st, 3rd and sometimes on the 5th Saturdays of the month at the “Southern Utah Shooting Sports Park” located adjacent to the “Washington County Regional Park” (Fair Grounds). Matches start at 9:00 A.M. in the Summer and 10:00 A.M. in the winter. Matches generally consist of 4 or 5 stages and require approximately 150 rounds to complete.

Sighting In with Shooting USA shows each Wed on the Outdoor Channel. We DVR it.
Tonight is especially of interest because they are featuring the AMU Junior Clinic for USPSA hand gunning. The Army Marksmanship Unit takes lucky junior shooters and spends a few days training and working with them.
Brian and I are excited to watch it, as he has wrangled a spot at this years Clinic, which is held at Fort Benning Georgia in mid-Fall.
As a test of the gallery, I posted a few images and videos of Brian (my 11 year old son) doing IDPA stages in Las Vegas. Their matches are on the 3rd Saturday of each month. E-mail if you want to go down with us to one. They are similar to IPSC but emphasize use of cover, concealment, and production only guns.
