A fellow shooter e-mailed these images of Brian shooting in the 2008 IDPA Nevada State Championship:
IDPA and USPSA share a lot in common. The same safety rules and operating procedures, for example. The main differences, other than restricting the limited/open type guns, are that you have to shoot from behind, over, around, or under cover. That and you can’t drop magazines with bullets left in them. A lot of stages have you shooting while moving backwards (the idea being to avoid whatever is threatening you).
Brian and I shoot IDPA monthly in Las Vegas. If you want to tag along, just holler, we’ve got room for 3 other shooters to go with us.
We are the Southern Utah Practical Shooters. We are a non-profit corporation and USPSA affiliated club that holds practical shooting matches on the 1st and 3rd Saturday's of each month. We also hold Defensive (IDPA style) Matches on the 2nd and 4th Friday evenings of the month. We shoot at the Southern Utah Shooting Sports Park near the Washington County Fairgrounds in Hurricane, Ut.
